Where It All Began
Surewise opened in 2014 with a simple ambition: provide specialist insurance for mobility scooters, carers, storage. Clear wording, fair pricing, and real support when something goes wrong. We’re authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, but the reviews are where we find out whether we’ve lived up to what we set out to do.
Why We Read Our Own Reviews
We don’t just collect reviews for a score. Every review from Trustpilot, Google, email, phone calls, and social media gets read by our team and routed to the relevant department to act on it. The good ones tell us what to keep doing; the tougher ones tell us where to improve. Over the years, this has shaped how we word our policies, how customers manage cover online, and how we support our Essex-based team.
This matters even more given who many of our customers are. We insure mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs, and we support carers looking after vulnerable people. All things that exist because someone’s independence depends on them working properly.
The Moment That Matters Most: Claims
The real test of an insurance provider is what happens when a customer needs to claim, often after something upsetting has happened. Rather than tell you we handle this well, here’s a flavour of what customers say on our Customer Claim Experiences page: Cheryl described her husband’s stolen mobility scooter being sorted with care; Ali had three claims settled quickly within weeks; Gerard called the process “much less stressful than I expected”; and Colin praised how fast his storage claim was settled after a burglary while he was abroad.

Our free Resource Centre offers guides for carers, storage customers, and mobility scooter users alike – available to anyone, whether they insure with us or not. We’re especially proud of our Safer Mobility Safety Packs: free to mobility scooter users, each containing a Safety Guide and reflective stickers to help them stay visible on the road.
